Vitaworld Broccoli Extract 500 mg Capsules are a food supplement made from broccoli sprouts with 50 mg sulforaphane and 55 µg selenium per capsule.
Broccoli is much more than just a vegetable. Broccoli, which belongs to the cruciferous family, contains the phytochemical sulforaphane, which was first isolated and described in 1992.
Sulforaphane is the active form of a glucoraphane, which in turn is one of over 150 so-called mustard oil glycosides known to date. Mustard oil glycosides are mainly found in broccoli, cauliflower and all other types of cabbage, but also in cress, radishes, radishes, horseradish and turnips. Mustard oil glycosides are responsible for the often bitter and pungent flavour of cruciferous vegetables.
Our broccoli extract also contains selenium as a synergist, which contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress and the normal functioning of the immune system.
