The Vitaworld Hericium erinaceus extract 500 mg capsules are a dietary supplement containing 500 mg Hericium fruit body extract of which 150 mg polysaccharides per capsule.

Hericium erinaceus is an unusual mushroom even from the outside. Its fruiting body is covered with dense, soft fibres that are up to 3 centimetres long - which explains the names hedgehog's goatee, monkey's head mushroom or lion's mane, by which the medicinal mushroom is also known. Due to its many healthy ingredients, Hericium erinaceus has had a firm place in traditional Chinese medicine for many centuries. The pulp of the mushroom contains a total of 19 free amino acids, including the essential amino acids phenylalanine, valine, threonine, isoleucine, leucine and lysine, which the body cannot produce itself but must absorb through food.

Other valuable ingredients of Hericium include minerals, trace elements, vitamins and polysaccharides. Due to its valuable ingredients, Hericium has already proven itself in practice in numerous areas of application. From the point of view of traditional Chinese medicine, Hericium helps the body to regain its balance - both in relation to the nervous system and to the stomach and intestines.

For our Hericium extract, the soluble parts of the mushroom powder are dissolved and then evaporated, leaving a concentrate that contains the therapeutically important secondary ingredients in optimum availability.
