Each capsule is microencapsulated and therefore acid-resistant - this means that the bacterial cultures are protected as they pass through the stomach and end up exactly where they are needed: in the intestine. The formula also contains inulin from chicory root - a natural, soluble fibre that serves as food for the bacteria and helps them to colonise and multiply better in the intestine.
