Collagen is the main structural protein of our connective tissue and is mainly found in the skin, cartilage, tendons and bones. Collagen hydrolysate is another name for collagen peptides. The long collagen protein molecule is broken down (= hydrolysed) into collagen peptides, making the protein chains shorter and easier for the body to absorb. The peptide size of Mobiforte® is between 2kD and 4 kD, meaning that these bioactive protein fragments can be optimally absorbed and utilised by the body.
