Beta-carotene fulfils various functions in the body. It is particularly important as a precursor of vitamin A. Vitamin A contributes to the normal function of the immune system and to the maintenance of normal skin and vision. Pantothenic acid and biotin both belong to the group of B vitamins. Regular intake through food is necessary as the body does not have any significant stores. Both B vitamins support the body's energy metabolism. Biotin ensures the maintenance of normal skin and hair.
