Trauma Ointment cooling Mayrhofer is suitable for the local treatment of pain caused by acute injuries to the active musculoskeletal system. Rapid pain relief and muscle relaxation are achieved with simultaneous cooling.
For acute injuries:
Cooling is particularly important in the acute phase (in the first 48 hours)! The cooling effect relieves pain and reduces the inflammatory reaction and oedema formation. Furthermore, the formation of haematoma and swelling is reduced as blood vessels constrict due to the cold.
For localised treatment of pain in the following injuries/complaints:
- Acute injuries to muscles, joints and tendons such as bruises, strains and sprains
- Overexertion
- Acute rheumatic inflammatory complaints, sciatica
- Pain in the area of the joints and spine (lumbar vertebrae, cervical spine), intervertebral disc syndromes, lumbago
Active ingredients
Methyl salicylate has an analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect. Menthol has a cooling effect and is slightly anaesthetic. Methyl salicylate, menthol and camphor have circulation-promoting properties. In the case of injuries and inflammation, increased blood circulation causes the symptoms to subside more quickly.
Application
For use on the skin.
- Apply a thin film of ointment to intact skin several times a day and massage in.
- Wash your hands well after rubbing in the ointment.
- Only use on intact skin, do not apply to mucous membranes, open wounds or eyes.
- Avoid applying to large areas.
Use on children and adolescents
Trauma Ointment cooling Mayrhofer must not be used on infants and children under 2 years of age. Use in children aged 2-6 years is not recommended.
Ingredients
The active ingredients are: Methyl salicylate, menthol, camphor
100 g ointment contains: methyl salicylate 5.0 g, menthol 1.5 g, camphor 1.5 g
The other ingredients are:chlorophyll and chlorophyllin-copper complex (E 141), aluminium monostearate , isopropyl myristate , wool wax alcohols, cetyl stearyl alcohol, white vaseline
