Thorne Curcumin Phytosome capsules are a food supplement containing 500 mg curcumin in complex with phosphatidylcholine from sunflower oil per capsule.
Curcumin Phytosome (previously Meriva 500-SF) contains turmeric (turmeric extract) as a phytosome. Phytosome technology combines plant extracts with phospholipids and ensures better absorption and 29 times better bioavailability.
Advantages of phytosome technology:
- Plant extracts/phytotherapeutics are often difficult to absorb due to their size and polarity. Indena's Phytosome technology disperses difficult-to-absorb botanicals into a phospholipid complex, making them available to the body.
- Phytosome uses phospholipids from sunflowers. Phospholipids are a natural component of cell membranes.

How to use
- 1-2 capsules twice daily, unless otherwise recommended.
- Notes: The simultaneous use of curcumin with some cytostatic drugs (e.g. cyclophosphamide, irinotecan, camptothecin) and tamoxifen should be avoided. Not suitable for use in the case of biliary tract diseases. Pregnant and breastfeeding women and people taking medication should only take food supplements after consulting a doctor.
