The Nutri Store Galangal Tablets are a dietary supplement containing 450 mg of galangal root per daily dose.

The galangal plant (Alpinia officinarum) is a perennial herb native to the tropics. It has a creeping rhizome from which pink to reddish-coloured side shoots emerge. The rhizome contains essential oil and resins (galangol, alpinol), which give it a pungent, aromatic flavour reminiscent of ginger. Galangal also contains a variety of bioflavonoids.

Galangal roots are highly prized in South-East Asia as both a spice and a vegetable. Galangal is an ingredient in spice blends (e.g. curry) and is also used in the production of herbal liqueurs. In Europe, galangal is best known as a gingerbread spice. Hildegard von Bingen recommended galangal as a valuable spice plant. Galangal gives dishes a spicy, Asian or Far Eastern flavour.

Each galangal tablet contains 75 mg of galangal root powder. Just 6 tablets supplement your daily diet with 450 mg of galangal root.
