The Nutri Store Krill Oil Softgel Capsules are a food supplement containing 500 mg pure krill oil with 125 mg omega-3 fatty acids, including 60 mg EPA and 27.5 mg DHA per capsule.
Replacing saturated fatty acids with monounsaturated and/or polyunsaturated fatty acids in the diet contributes to the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels. EPA and DHA have been shown to contribute to normal heart function from a daily intake of 250 mg, equivalent to 4 krill oil capsules per day. In addition, the choline contained in krill oil contributes to normal homocysteine and fat metabolism and to the maintenance of normal liver function.
Krill oil is obtained from Antarctic krill (Euphausia superba), a small shrimp-like crustacean native to the Southern Ocean, where it occurs in large shoals. Krill oil contains the valuable unsaturated omega-3 fatty acids EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexanoic acid), which are bound in a natural phospholipid complex that is particularly easy for the human body to utilise. As vital essential nutrients, omega-3 fatty acids cannot be produced by the human organism itself, which is why they should be supplied regularly with food. Krill oil also contains the carotenoid astaxanthin, to which it owes its natural red colour, and other valuable vital substances such as choline, a vitamin-like substance ("vitamin B4"), which is involved in many important metabolic processes in the body.
The krill oil used is obtained gently by means of a patented special cold extraction process. Krill oil soft gel capsules are subject to the usual variations in appearance, consistency, odour and taste of natural products. The product is free from gluten, soya, lactose, fructose, preservatives and synthetic colours, odours and flavours.

Directions
- Take 1 to 2 capsules daily in the morning and evening with plenty of water before meals: 2 capsules daily to support normal heart function or 4 capsules daily to maintain liver function and to support homocysteine and fat metabolism.
- Note: Not suitable for people with shellfish allergies. Krill oil has a slightly blood-thinning effect. If you are taking anticoagulant medication, please consult your doctor before taking krill oil capsules. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should only take 450 mg DHA and EPA per day.

There is currently no EU recommendation for the daily requirement according to NRV in accordance with Regulation (EU) No. 1169/2011.
