The Nutri Store Green Tea Catechin Capsules are a dietary supplement containing 400 mg of high-quality green tea extract with at least 380 mg of polyphenols, of which 247 mg are pure catechins and 99 mg are pure EGCG per capsule.
Green tea is derived from the same plant (Camellia sinensis) as black tea. Unlike black tea, however, the tea leaves used for green tea are not fermented, but gently steamed and dried.
The natural catechins, a group of polyphenols that give the tea its bitter taste, are considered particularly interesting constituents of green tea. Epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) is particularly worth mentioning here.
Each green tea catechin capsule contains 400 mg of high-quality green tea extract with at least 380 mg of polyphenols, of which 247 mg are pure catechins and 99 mg are pure EGCG, usefully supplemented with 12 mg of vitamin C, which contributes to the normal function of the immune system and helps protect cells from oxidative stress.
