Acerola (Malpighia punicifolia) is a shrub-like plant from Central America. Its fruits, the acerola cherries, have the highest vitamin C content of all known fruits. They contain around 20 to 30 times more vitamin C than oranges. A high-quality dry powder containing a high proportion of natural vitamin C is obtained from the juice of these fruits using a special gentle process.
Vitamin C is an essential vital substance that is very important for the entire organism.
