Collagen is the central protein in the human body. Its synthesis slows down and decreases with age. In contrast to animal collagen, fullagen is produced exclusively from plant sources. It is obtained from non-genetically modified maize starch by means of lactic acid fermentation and microencapsulation in several steps. Fermentation makes it possible to obtain a precise combination of amino acids, while microencapsulation produces a powder that can be dispersed in cold water. This process therefore differs greatly from other food supplements, which only contain poorly soluble individual amino acids, the building blocks of collagen.
