Suprasorb® P sensitive border lite silicone foam dressing sterile, 5 x 5 cm, 10 ST

The Suprasorb® P sensitive border lite (without a super-absorbent core) silicone foam dressing can be used to treat all wounds, provided they are low to moderately exuding and superficial to deep* wounds.

Suprasorb® P sensitive border lite consists of a silicone wound-contact layer, an absorbent polyurethane foam, a distribution layer made of non-woven fabric, and a water-vapour-permeable and waterproof backing layer. The four-layer structure enables dynamic fluid management to create and maintain an optimal moist wound environment, which promotes faster wound healing and can help to reduce the risk of maceration. 

The soft silicone layer can be lifted and repositioned without losing its adhesive properties. Furthermore, this layer helps to minimise the patient’s pain as well as trauma to the wound and the surrounding skin during dressing changes. The PU foam layer provides excellent absorption and traps exudate.

Form

Application

Can be applied by laypeople under the supervision of qualified personnel. The product can be used under compression dressings. 

Preparing the wound:

• Clean the wound in accordance with current clinical standards. Dry the skin surrounding the wound thoroughly. 

Applying the wound dressing:

• The size of the dressing depends on the size of the wound. The wound pad should overlap the dry skin surrounding the wound by at least 1–2 cm. 
• Remove the first protective film and apply the adhesive side to the wound. 
• Remove the remaining protective film(s) and smooth the edge down onto the skin. Do not pull the dressing apart. *For deep wounds, use a tamponade as a primary dressing if necessary (e.g. Suprasorb® A, Suprasorb® A + Ag, Suprasorb® Liquacel).

Dressing change:

• Depending on the condition of the wound and the degree of exudate, the dressing can remain on the wound for several days.
