Its flavour is characterised by a delicate aroma reminiscent of lamb’s lettuce, making it a perfect match for summer cuisine. In Russia in particular, small-flowered willowherb is highly prized and drunk as a ‘men’s tea’. As it often grows close to homes, people used to believe it acted as a lightning-protection herb and were pleased to have the plant – also known as ‘fire herb’ – in their vicinity. Our willowherb is grown, dried and packed loose by the Zach family in Gebharts.
