Areas of application

Sililevo Hydro Lacquer was specially developed for brittle, chapped and soft nails.

Sililevo Hydro Varnish can also improve the appearance and condition of nails affected by psoriasis. Typical signs of these nail changes are irregular indentations, brownish discolouration under the nail (oil spots) and detachment of the nail from the nail bed (onycholysis). Nonspecific nail changes include nail thickening (hyperkeratosis) and a white discolouration of the nails (leukonychia).

Sililevo Hydro Lacquer can also be used under cosmetic nail polish and thus protects the nails from chemical ingredients that may be contained in nail polish and nail polish removers.

Properties

Sililevo's triple formula ensures naturally beautiful and strong nails with just one daily application.

The Sililevo 3-fold formula:

1. unique combination of active ingredients

  • Chitosan (hydroxypropylchitosan, HPCH): The basic substance of HPCH is obtained from the strong chitin shell of crabs. HPCH protects the nail from external influences, keeps the nail elastic and at the same time prevents the nail from losing water. Silicic acid from horsetail extract Of all known plants, horsetail contains the highest proportion of the important mineral silicon in the form of silicic acid. It binds with the nail keratin, mineralises the nail and thus builds up the nail structure.
  • Natural sulphur (MSM): MSM is a natural form of sulphur. The hardness and elasticity of nail keratin depend heavily on sulphur-rich fibre proteins and sulphur-containing cross-links between the individual keratin molecules. The sulphur from MSM is absorbed by the nail keratin and strengthens the nail plate.
2. ONY-FLEX® lacquer technology: The HPCH lacquer base forms an invisible, elastic film on the nail that protects it from external influences. Thanks to this special technology, the active ingredients are transported into the nail where they are needed.

3. hydro lacquer formulation: The water-soluble lacquer technology is based on hydroxypropyl chitosan (HPCH), which forms an invisible film on the nail. This film protects the nail plate from external influences and at the same time prevents the nail from losing moisture. The optimum water content of the nail is between 7 - 18%. If the water content is greatly reduced, the nail becomes brittle and fragile.

How to use
  • Apply Sililevo once a day to clean and dry nails. To do this, spread the hydro lacquer thinly with a brush on the nail surface and on the 5 mm surrounding skin of the nail plate as well as under the free edge of the nail. The nail polish dries quickly and forms an invisible, non-glossy protective film. Application before going to bed is recommended so that the ingredients can penetrate the nail overnight. Wash off any polish residue with water in the morning; nail polish remover is not required.
  • The combined use of cosmetic nail polish and Sililevo Hydro Lacquer is possible by alternating the cosmetic nail polish with Sililevo Hydro Lacquer. To do this, apply Sililevo Hydro Lacquer on five consecutive days. After application and drying on the fifth day, you can apply a cosmetic nail polish over Sililevo Hydro Lacquer. Leave the cosmetic nail polish on the nails for three days and remove it at the end of the third day with a nail polish remover before starting with Sililevo Hydro Varnish only for a further five days.
  • For protective use (under cosmetic nail polish), apply Sililevo Hydro Polish and once dry, apply cosmetic nail polish over Sililevo Hydro Polish.
