Product information "Seewald Ortho Urinary Tract PhytoComplex Capsules"
Seewald Ortho Urinary Tract PhytoComplex Capsules are a dietary supplement with a powerful formula containing plant extracts of goldenrod, cranberry, nasturtium and horseradish root in combination with vitamin A from beta-carotene.

  • Cranberry, also known as cranberry, is a small, sour berry, botanically known as Vaccinium macrocarpon. It belongs to the blueberry family and is closely related to European cranberries (Vaccinium vitis-ideae). It is mainly native to North America and parts of Europe. Cranberries are known for their high vitamin content, especially vitamin C. They have traditionally been used to harmonise the urinary tract.
  • The cranberry extract it contains is highly standardised to 30% proanthocyanidins (PAC). Proanthocyanidins belong to the flavonoids and specifically to the anthocyanin subgroup. Other natural secondary plant substances contained in cranberries are quercetin, tannin, catechin and epicatechin.
  • Goldenrods are perennial, herbaceous plants that are known for their bright yellow inflorescences. They are traditionally used in naturopathy - even the herbalist Jacobus Theodorus Tabernaemontanus described the effects of goldenrod on the urine at the end of the 16th century. The plant contains various bioactive substances, including saponins and flavonoids such as rutin, quercetin and kaempferol.
  • Nasturtium (Tropaeolum majus) is an annual plant known for its colourful flowers and round leaves. Originally from South America, it is grown in gardens all over the world. Nasturtium is not only decorative but also edible; both leaves and flowers have a spicy, piquant flavour due to the mustard oil glycosides they contain. These substances protect the plant from predators and help it to ward off microorganisms such as bacteria.
  • Horseradish root (Armoracia rusticana) has been used in cooking since ancient times due to its pungent, spicy flavour. It is rich in vitamin C and mustard oil glycosides such as allyl isothiocyanate. When eaten freshly grated, it has a stimulating effect on the mucous membranes and their blood circulation - the feeling of a clear nose after eating fresh horseradish root is well known.
  • Beta-carotene is a plant-based carotenoid found in many fruits and vegetables, such as carrots and sweet potatoes. It gives these foods their characteristic orange colour and is also known as provitamin A because it is converted into vitamin A in the body. Vitamin A is a fat-soluble vitamin that fulfils various functions in the body. It is involved in the maintenance of normal mucous membranes, including those in the reproductive and urinary tracts. In addition, vitamin A supports the normal function of the immune system and plays a role in cell specialisation.
