Cistus is a shrub from the cistus family (Cistaceae), which is mainly native to the Mediterranean countries. The plant is known for its aromatic flowers, its resinous, essential oil and its high polyphenol content, a valuable secondary plant substance that is said to have numerous positive properties.
Cistus extract is standardised to contain 65% polyphenols.
The carefully balanced formula also contains rapidly absorbable and pH-neutral vitamin C (Ester-C®). In combination with particularly bioavailable zinc gluconate, it supports the normal functioning of the immune system and contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.
