Cistus is a shrub belonging to the Cistaceae family, which is native primarily to Mediterranean countries. The plant is known for its aromatic flowers, its resinous essential oil and its high content of polyphenols, a valuable phytochemical to which numerous beneficial properties are attributed.
The rockrose extract is standardised to a polyphenol content of 65 per cent.
The carefully balanced formula also contains rapidly absorbable, pH-neutral vitamin C (Ester-C®). In combination with highly bioavailable zinc gluconate, it supports the normal function of the immune system and helps protect cells from oxidative stress.
