Pleurotus (Pleurotus ostreatus or oyster mushroom), a medicinal mushroom native to Asia, is found in temperate climate zones worldwide. It is prized for both its delicious flavour and its firm, fleshy texture.

Traditionally, Pleurotus has a long history in Asia, due in particular to its many beneficial properties. The mushroom contains valuable active biological substances such as polysaccharides, beta-glucans, triterpenes, polyphenols and bioactive proteins.

The Pleurotus extract in certified organic quality meets our high quality standards and has a guaranteed high content of polysaccharides (30%) and beta-glucans (20%).

We harmoniously combine vitamin C from the amla berry, also in organic quality. Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation for the blood vessels. It also helps to protect cells from oxidative stress and supports normal energy metabolism.

The vitamin C comes from organically grown amla berries. Amla, also known as Indian gooseberry (Phyllanthus emblica), is one of the richest natural sources of vitamin C with a high natural content of vitamin C, polyphenols, flavonoids and antioxidants. The BIO Amla extract is standardised to 50% vitamin C and, according to current research, is particularly characterised by its sustained bioavailability and good tolerability - it is a suitable source of vitamin C for people with a sensitive stomach or histamine sensitivity.
