Maca root has been cultivated in the upper altitudes of the Peruvian Andes for around 2000 years. Only roots from Peru, which grow at an altitude of over 3000 metres, are used for Raab Organic Maca Capsules Premium. The maca roots are dried fresh from the harvest and then finely ground. The maca root powder contains secondary plant substances, the glucosinolates (160 mg / 100 g or 4 mg / 5 capsules).

What is maca?

Maca (Lepidium meyenii) is a tuberous plant that originates from the Peruvian Andes. It belongs to the genus Lepidium in the cruciferous family. In the Peruvian Andes, the root grows on volcanic soil and is exposed to strong temperature fluctuations and strong winds. It is grown in the Peruvian spring (around October in our latitudes) and is harvested in June/July. The sweet-tasting root is used as a foodstuff and the dried root is also used to produce a powder that is processed into food supplements. In addition to the root, the young leaves are also eaten raw or cooked in Peru.

How to use
Take 5 capsules daily in the morning or at lunchtime with a little liquid.
