What are electrolytes?

Electrolytes are minerals that are dissolved as ions with a negative or positive charge. These minerals include potassium, calcium, sodium and magnesium. They fulfil various functions in the body, e.g: Calcium contributes to normal energy metabolism and normal muscle function. Potassium contributes to the normal function of the nervous system and to the maintenance of normal blood pressure. Magnesium contributes to the normal function of the nervous system and the psyche. Chloride is also an electrolyte.

Raab Elektrolyte PUR is a powder for preparing an isotonic electrolyte drink with a carefully selected combination of the minerals magnesium, calcium, potassium and sodium - each as citrate salt, i.e. in an organically bound form. The powder also contains sodium chloride, as chloride is also an electrolyte. The electrolyte powder is free from sugar, flavourings or sweeteners. Directions

• Adults: Stir one sachet (7 g each) into 300 ml of water once a day and drink
• Notes: Excessive consumption of magnesium can have a laxative effect. Not suitable for children under 4 years of age. Persons with a potassium imbalance, in particular with kidney dysfunction and persons with heart disease or insulin deficiency or diabetes mellitus should consult a doctor before using products containing potassium.
