To keep your eyes healthy, it is important to eat a balanced diet rich in vitamins, not to smoke and to protect your eyes from too much sunlight.

• Vitamin A & zinc: In addition, the body should have sufficient zinc and vitamin A available to ensure an optimal supply. Vitamin A is a component of rhodopsin, a visual pigment in the sensory cells of the retina and is responsible both for twilight vision and - together with other components - for colour vision.
• L-arginine is essential for the human body as it can be described as the source of nitroxide (NO). Nitroxide is formed in the organism by the enzyme "NO synthase" from the amino acid arginine. The co-enzyme of "NO synthase" is in turn NADH. The more NADH is present in the body, the more NO can be formed. NO in turn relaxes and dilates the blood vessels, allowing more blood - and therefore more oxygen and nutrients - to reach the organs.
