For many years, Primavera Life has been supporting groups of collectors who harvest the wild mountain lavender of Provence at over 800 metres above sea level. This is arduous work, as the Provençal hills cannot be worked mechanically, as is the case in the flat valley below. Harvesting the wild lavender requires climbing on foot and pruning with a sickle. In other words, manual labour. Then the journey down to the distillery, day after day, in the heat of the summer sun.
