Ginger oil is extracted from freshly distilled ginger root. It has a pleasant citrusy-fresh fragrance with a spicy, fruity note. It is also mild and kind to the skin. Ginger oil alleviates the symptoms of (travel) nausea and leads to a greater sense of well-being in the case of gastrointestinal complaints. It has a stabilising, mood-enhancing and aphrodisiac effect. If you are prone to nausea, sniffing ginger essential oil can provide quick relief. It is often used in therapeutic blends for "emotional stomach pains" as it has a balancing and mentally stabilising effect.
