The giant fir is an evergreen coniferous tree that originally comes from North America. Giant fir is now also cultivated in Europe, e.g. in Massif Central, France. Giant fir can grow to over 80 metres in height. It is characterised by its needles, which exude a citrus-like aroma when rubbed. Giant fir is used in naturopathy to treat colds and to improve the air in rooms.
