Pollstimol® capsules, 60 ST

Pollstimol® capsules are a herbal medicine for the symptomatic treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), e.g. frequent and nocturnal urination.

Indications

• Benign prostate enlargement (benign prostatic hyperplasia, BPH), e.g. frequent and nocturnal urination
• Chronic abacterial prostatitis/chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CPPS).

Pollstimol is indicated for adult men aged 18 years and over. If you do not feel better or feel worse, consult your doctor.

How to use

The recommended dose for adult men aged 18 years and over is

• For benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH): The recommended dose is: 2 hard capsules 2 to 3 times daily This is 4 to 6 hard capsules per day.
• For chronic abacterial prostatitis/chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CPPS): The recommended dose is: 2 hard capsules 3 times a day This is 6 capsules per day.
• Renal and hepatic impairment: There is insufficient data for a specific dosage recommendation for patients with impaired renal or hepatic function.

Use in children and adolescents: There is no corresponding area of application for children and adolescents under 18 years of age.

Route of administration: Please swallow the capsules whole with sufficient water (preferably 1 glass of drinking water) at mealtimes.

Duration of use: The duration of use is not limited in time and should be at least 3 months. If the symptoms persist unchanged while taking this medicine, you should consult a doctor.

Ingredients

• Pollstimol contains - The active ingredients are grass pollen extracts of rye, timothy and maize. 1 hard capsule contains: 20 mg dry extract of dried unprocessed pollen of Secale cereale L. (rye), Phleum pratense L. (meadow timothy) and Zea mays L. (maize) in a ratio of 30 : 1.5 : 1, DERnative (2.7-7.5) : 1. Extractant: water : acetone : sodium dodecyl sulphate (27 : 1 : 0.01 w/w/w). 3 mg thick extract of dried unprocessed pollen of Secale cereale L. (rye), Phleum pratense L. (meadow timothy) and Zea mays L. (maize) in the ratio: 30 : 1.5 : 1, DERnative (12-28) : 1. First extractant: water : acetone : sodium dodecyl sulphate (27 : 1 : 0.01 w/w/w). Second extracting agent: acetone (100 %).
• The other ingredients are: Capsule contents: calcium gluconate (Ph.Eur.), calcium hydrogen phosphate dihydrate, highly dispersed silicon dioxide, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate (Ph.Eur.), maltodextrin, microcrystalline cellulose Capsule shell: gelatine, purified water, iron oxide hydrate (E 172), titanium dioxide (E171).
