Speedwell (Veronica officinalis) belongs to the plantain family (Plantaginaceae). In naturopathy, it is honoured with the phrase "Ihm sei Ehr und Preis als vera unica medicina, das einzig wahre Heilmittel". Speedwell has positive properties for itchy skin, acne, obesity and metabolic problems. The herb used contains ingredients such as essential oils, aucubin, aucubin glycosides, bitter substances, tannins, tannic acid, resin as well as lactic acid and saponins.
