The hormone hCG and pregnancy

In the early stages of pregnancy, the fertilised egg is transported from the fallopian tubes to the uterus, where it implants around 7 days later. It is precisely at this stage that the tissue forming the placenta begins to produce human chorionic gonadotropin, also known as hCG, a hormone that is essential for the development and successful progression of the pregnancy. The rapid appearance and rapid increase in the concentration of the hormone hCG in the urine makes it an excellent indicator for confirming the onset of pregnancy. The EARLY PREGNANCY TEST is an ultra-sensitive and rapid self-test that determines the hCG present in the urine at a very low concentration (10 mIU/ml).

Test principle

The EARLY PREGNANCY TEST is an immunochromatographic test that determines the hormone hCG thanks to specific gold-conjugated monoclonal antibodies contained in the test strip.

Dosage form

Self test kit consisting of 2 spoon devices, instructions for use.

Application

Remove the protective cap and hold the absorbent tip directly under the urine stream for at least 10 seconds;
Alternatively, immerse the absorbent tip in a clean and dry container for 10 seconds;
Replace the protective cap on the spoon device and wait 5 minutes to read the result.

Interpretation of the results:

Negative: The hCG level in the urine is below the limit value of 10 mIE/mL.
Positive: The concentration of the hCG hormone in the urine is equal to or above the limit value, which indicates the pregnancy status. Consult your doctor or specialist.
