Nutilis Powder is a ready-to-use instant thickening agent that preserves the authentic flavour of food and drink, making them easier and safer to swallow for people with swallowing difficulties (dysphagia).

Nutilis Powder makes swallowing particularly safe, as it contains plant-based fibre that provides so-called amylase-resistant properties. This ensures that the consistency of your thickened food is maintained even when it comes into contact with saliva, making swallowing easier. Nutilis Powder is gluten- and lactose-free. It complies with the requirements of the European Regulation on food for special medical purposes and, in Switzerland, the Ordinance on Foodstuffs for Persons with Special Nutritional Needs, as well as the German Dietary Regulation (DiätV), which remains partially in force.

Nutilis Powder supports safer nutrition, particularly in cases of swallowing difficulties (also known as dysphagia), which may be associated with the following conditions, amongst others:

• Neurological conditions such as stroke, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)
• Oncological conditions such as head and neck tumours

Usage

• Nutilis can be used to thicken liquids to various consistencies (syrup, cream, custard). The amount of powder required depends on the type of liquid to be thickened (e.g. tea, juice, nutritional drinks or puréed foods).
• Foods and drinks thickened with Nutilis Powder can be chilled, frozen and reheated.
• Notes: Nutilis Powder is not suitable for children under 3 years of age. Not suitable for patients requiring a fibre-free diet.
• Important information: Food for special medical purposes (balanced diet). For dietary management in patients with an inability or limited ability to consume sufficient normal food, or with malnutrition caused by illness. Use only under medical supervision.
