Nutricia FortiFit Strawberry Powder is a medical nutritional drink specially designed for patients with sarcopenia. FortiFit is used for dietary management in conditions associated with protein deficiency and loss of muscle mass.

The age-related decline in muscle mass and strength, defined in scientific terms as sarcopenia, has significant clinical consequences and severely impairs the quality of life of those affected. In particular, the loss of mobility and independence are unpleasant consequences of declining muscle strength in old age. Everyday activities, such as walking, climbing stairs or getting out of bed or out of a chair, become more difficult. Muscle weakness, a slow walking speed and balance problems increase the risk of falls and, consequently, of fractures. The use of walking aids or adjustments to the home environment may become necessary. The risk of admission to a hospital or care home increases.

FortiFit® Powder, thanks to its ActiSyn™ complex, supplies the body with essential muscle-building components and can thus help to maintain or rebuild muscle mass.

Directions for use

• Recommended daily intake: 1–2 servings (40 g each).
• Build-up phase: twice daily for 3 months without interruption Maintenance: regularly once daily.
• Before breakfast and/or at lunchtime, pour 125 ml of water into a glass and add the contents of one sachet (6 measuring spoons, 40 g) of FortiFit powder. Stir vigorously or shake in a shaker until the powder has completely dissolved. FortiFit should be consumed immediately after preparation.
• Allergens: Contains ingredients derived from milk and soya.
• Notes: FortiFit® powder is designed for adults. It should be used with particular caution by people with known kidney and/or liver dysfunction, hormonal disorders associated with impaired calcium and/or bone metabolism (does not apply to osteoporosis), and where additional calcium intake exceeds 500 mg per day or additional vitamin D intake exceeds 40 µg per day.
