FLUTD (Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease) is a common disease complex in domestic cats, which includes diseases of the lower urogenital tract. In addition to various kidney and bladder diseases, these include above all the formation of struvite stones and oxalate stones. The diseases mentioned can be genetic or caused by an electrolyte imbalance (due to insufficient drinking). Cats on a concentrated dry food diet and/or old cats are particularly frequently affected.
The innovative product Felurit® stimulates the cat to drink through a combination of sodium with an adequate amount of potassium and thus achieves a flushing effect of the kidneys without any diuretic (=dehydrating/diuretic) substances. As a result, Felurit® ensures that the cat remains hydrated and does not become dehydrated. The cranberry concentrate stabilises the pH value in the urine by slightly acidifying it, which means that methionine can be completely dispensed with. The absence of methionine prevents acidification of the urine and the resulting risk of stone formation can therefore be reduced. Methionine can lead to changes in the red blood cells in cats and should therefore not be given in higher quantities in the case of existing kidney, liver or pancreas problems.
Felurit® can be given in addition to normal food and also in addition to speciality/diet food (e.g. Urinary / Struvite).

Main ingredients
- Glucosamine and chondroitin: ensure the formation of new and more stable structures of the bladder epithelium
- Cranberry: stabilises the pH value in the urine by slightly acidifying it
- Rhemannia: strengthens the bladder and kidneys -D-mannose: is a sugar compound that binds bacteria and excretes them via the kidneys
- Sodium and potassium: salts that stimulate water absorption and thus naturally favour the release of water (favours the flushing effect)
- Vanillin: strong antioxidant effect
- Omega fatty acids: inhibit the precursors of inflammation and reduce the risk of bladder and kidney stones, they also support mild regeneration of the kidneys (the correct ratio of omega fatty acids must be observed: Ω3 : Ω6 & Ω9 = 3:1)
- Prebiotics: for the gastrointestinal tract, healthy intestinal flora stabilises the mucous membranes and supports mucosal integrity throughout the body (all mucous membranes are connected like a common organ)
- Vitamin B1: controls the emptying of the bladder
- Vitamin B6: favours the reduction of stone formation (oxalate and struvite stones)
- Winter cherry: has a calming effect on the cat because affected cats are often stressed

- Composition: Yeast products (Saccharomyces cerevisiae), N-acetyl-D-glucosamine (from animal tissue / crustaceans) 12.5 %, products from the processing of plants: Winter cherry (Withania somnifera), Rehmannia root (Rehmannia glutinosa, dried) 2.5 %; D-mannose 10 %, cranberry juice concentrate 5 %, maize starch, fish oil (source of omega fatty acids) 3.6 %, fructo-oligosaccharides, chondroitin sulphate, sodium chloride 0.5 %, potassium chloride 0.4 %.
