Who is Nozohaem Nasal Gel® suitable for?
- Nosebleeds as a side effect: Many prescription medicines can cause sudden nosebleeds. These include, amongst others, NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) in combination with anticoagulants (blood thinners), such as clopidogrel, ticagrelor or ASA. A deficiency in vitamin C or vitamin K also increases susceptibility. Nosebleeds also occur as a side effect of many courses of treatment, such as chemotherapy.
- Nosebleeds in children and toddlers: Even toddlers can suffer from frequent nosebleeds. Nozohaem Nose Gel® can be used on children aged 2 and over and takes the fear out of nosebleeds.
- Nosebleeds during sport: Whatever the sport – if a nosebleed occurs, quick and practical relief is needed. Nozohaem Nose Gel® therefore belongs in every sports bag, so that the game can continue without delay.
- Nosebleeds of known and unknown origin: Almost 3 per cent of the population in Germany suffer from chronic nosebleeds. Their sudden onset is experienced as extremely disruptive and unpleasant. Thanks to its quick application in handy single-dose sachets, Nozohaem Nasal Gel® offers the ideal solution when out and about
Dosage form
Gel
Directions for use
- It is applied inside the nose. Insert the tip of the tube approximately 1–1.5 cm into the affected nostril. Squeeze the contents of the tube into the nose. Whilst applying the gel, use the thumb and index finger of your other hand to gently pinch the lower edge of your nostrils together. If the nosebleed has started in the front part of the nose, one tube should be sufficient to stop it. If the nosebleed cannot be stopped by using the contents of one tube – for example, because it has started at the back of the nose – it is advisable to apply further tubes of Nozohaem® Nasal Gel until the bleeding stops. Consult a doctor if necessary. If any gel runs out of your nose, you can simply remove it with a tissue. The gel should remain in the nose for at least 30 minutes. It is gradually cleared away by the nose’s natural cleansing mechanism. If any gel remains in the nose after a few hours and it feels uncomfortable, it can be removed by gently blowing your nose.
- If the nosebleed cannot be stopped despite using Nozohaem® Nasal Gel and does not stop after 30 minutes, please consult a doctor to take further action.
- Notes: It should not be used if you are allergic to any of the ingredients. Apart from this, there is no further information available on when Nozohaem® Nasal Gel should not be used.
