NimmNem Selenium 200 µg Organic Capsules are a food supplement containing the essential trace element selenium.
Selenium is an essential (necessary) trace element and is a component of many enzymes and proteins. Selenium is involved in many reactions in the body, such as the regulation of thyroid metabolism. It is also a component of sperm and is therefore necessary for fertility. Selenium is required to maintain healthy nails and hair. A very unbalanced diet can lead to a selenium deficiency.
Selenium:

- contributes to the maintenance of normal nails
- contributes to the normal function of the immune system
- contributes to the maintenance of normal hair
- contributes to normal thyroid function
- helps to protect cells from oxidative stress

Directions for use
- Take the capsules with sufficient liquid, preferably with a meal (lunch). The ideal amount of liquid to take with the capsules may vary from person to person. We recommend a large glass (250ml) of water.
- Notes: If taking calcium, iron or zinc supplements, leave a gap of 2–3 hours between doses. Do not take at the same time as coffee, black tea or grapefruit. Do not take if you are allergic to selenium.
- Tip: Good to combine with: Vitamin B complex, vitamin B6 (pyridoxine), vitamin B12, vitamin E and the trace element iodine.
