OktaAmino consists of an optimally balanced ratio of 8 essential, hypoallergenic amino acids in their purest, free and crystalline form of plant origin. As humans are not able to synthesise the eight essential amino acids, they must be supplemented through food.
Amino acids are the basic building blocks of our body's protein metabolism and play an essential role as neurotransmitters, precursors of neurotransmitters and hormones (serotonin, melatonin, dopamine, noradrenaline, adrenaline, etc.). The need for the eight essential amino acids can be greatly increased during phases of extreme physical exertion, regenerative processes, unbalanced nutrition, limited protein intake and much more, and therefore requires additional supplementation.
