NICApur mediBalance® PerioPro+D® lozenges are a dietary supplement with three selected, patented lactic acid bacteria and vitamin D3 to support dental health*.

The microbiome of the mouth is the second most complex human microbiome after that of the large intestine. If there is an unfavourable shift in the microbial balance, pathogenic bacteria can proliferate. Some of these undesirable bacteria are associated with dental and gum diseases such as tooth decay and periodontitis. The use of antibiotic and antiseptic mouth rinses in particular can lead to an unintended reduction in healthy bacteria, which in turn makes it easier for harmful germs to multiply. The targeted use of oral probiotics can colonise the oral cavity with beneficial bacterial strains, thereby improving the oral microbiome composition and at the same time curbing the growth of undesirable bacteria.

How to use

Melt 1 lozenge in the mouth daily. If antiseptic mouth rinses are used at the same time, take at least one hour apart.

Ingredients: bulking agent: sorbitol; reproducible bacterial cultures: Lactobacillus plantarum KABP™ 051, Lactobacillus brevis KABP™ 052, Pediococcus acidilactici KABP™ 053; bulking agent: guar gum; natural mint flavour 2%, anti-caking agents: silicon dioxide, magnesium salts of fatty acids; cholecalciferol (vitamin D3).
