NAWA® Medical Electrolyte Ointment S promotes wound healing, reduces swelling, alleviates pain, minimises scarring and prevents infections. A wound and healing ointment for external use to treat skin injuries.
The Electrolyte Ointment S promotes wound healing, reduces swelling, alleviates pain, minimises scarring and prevents infections. The Electrolyte Ointment S serves to establish an optimal physical environment for the healing of damaged skin. This accelerates the resolution of bruising and oedema, reduces swelling and thereby alleviates pain. It supports re-epithelialisation and tissue regeneration, improves healing following surgery or injuries (wounds, burns, sunburn) and minimises scarring. It is suitable for use on children, contains no skin-irritating substances and can be applied to the mouth and mucous membranes (e.g. the nose).
Skin care and protection are important nursing measures for people with chronic wounds. They serve to maintain or restore the skin’s protective barrier and prevent complications. It is essential to include the wound margins in the treatment, as non-viable wound margins lead to delayed wound healing. The new epidermis forms from the intact epithelial tissue at the wound edges; in other words, re-epithelialisation can be promoted by activating the wound edges.
Electrolyte Ointment S can also be used in conjunction with a standard dressing. Covering the injured skin with a dressing provides the wound with additional protection against external factors that could interfere with healing.
