The shiny lacquer mushroom (Ganoderma lucidum, Chinese Ling Zhi) has been traditionally used in Asian culture for more than 2000 years. G. lucidum is one of the best phytochemically investigated mushrooms; the main active ingredients include triterpenes and glucans.
