Master Aid® Ortolux® is a sterile, ergonomic watch glass bandage with a transparent, break-resistant shell and hypoallergenic, particularly skin-friendly adhesive. Particularly suitable for creating a moist chamber in cases of lagophthalmos and after LASIK procedures.

The sterile watch glass dressings consist of a skin-friendly non-woven plaster with a curved disc in the centre. Thanks to the flexible backing material and ergonomic shape, they adapt perfectly to the eye area. The transparent shell made of unbreakable plastic is 11 mm deep. This not only offers the best mechanical protection for the covered eye, but also allows a pleasantly large field of vision. Thanks to its closed shell, Ortolux is particularly suitable for creating a moist chamber to protect the cornea and conjunctiva from drying out, e.g. in cases of lagophthalmos or after LASIK surgery. With Ortolux Air, the openings in the disc ensure good ventilation and also allow medication to be administered without having to remove the bandage.
