Macusan® Areds2 capsules are a dietary supplement for the dietary management of age-related macular degeneration (AMD). They contain vitamins, trace elements, a carotenoid (lutein) and a plant extract (ginkgo).

It contains a combination of essential nutrients comprising vitamins, trace elements, a carotenoid (lutein) and a plant extract (ginkgo). The composition has been carefully formulated to provide valuable support to the essential nutrients obtained from the diet. Lutein and zeaxanthin may help protect the photoreceptor cells. The combination of essential nutrients comprising vitamins and trace elements helps protect against free radicals. Ginkgo has a soothing and revitalising effect on the whole body. Its blood-circulation-promoting effect is particularly noticeable in the smallest blood vessels (capillaries). The specific formulation is tailored to the particular nutritional requirements within the indicated area of application. Macusan® Areds2 is used for intensive treatment of patients with late-stage AMD.
