The waterproof Leukoplast® detectable plasters are coloured blue and have metal strips to ensure traceability in food production. Waterproof, metal detectable and X-ray visible.
In the food sector, the safety of products and customers is an absolute priority. Leukoplast® detectable offers triple safety in food processing thanks to the recognisability of the wound dressing:
- Visual inspection: signal blue contrast colour
- Metal detector: aluminium threads
- X-ray: tungsten threads
Leukoplast® detectable consists of a non-adhesive wound dressing laminated with a polyethylene mesh. It is waterproof, breathable, adaptable and skin-friendly. Leukoplast® detectable is impermeable and offers reliable protection against viruses and bacteria.
Leukoplast® detectable consists of a backing made of PBA film (polyurethane, polystyrene) coated with polyacrylate adhesive. The wound dressing is made of polyethylene with an aluminium layer and tungsten filaments.
- Bacterial barrier
- Waterproof
- Detectable and visible
Characteristics
- Bacterial barrier: Forms a bacterial barrier that provides reciprocal protection against bacterial contamination. It also reduces the risk of secondary wound infections.
- Waterproof: Water and dirt repellent to protect the wound.
- Detectable and visible: Leukoplast detectable wound dressings contain aluminium and tungsten threads and can therefore be detected by metal detectors and X-rays. The dressing itself is blue, making it easy to localise if lost.
- Can be worn in the shower: The product is water-repellent and can be worn in the shower, meaning fewer dressing changes are required.
- Breathable: Breathable and permeable to water vapour to prevent maceration
