Leukomed® is a sterile wound dressing made from cross-elastic polyester non-woven fabric and therefore conforms very well even to highly contoured areas of the body. For use following surgical procedures or accidental injuries.
High absorbency and excellent skin compatibility are just two of the many properties that make Leukomed suitable for professional use. This sterile wound dressing provides reliable coverage for surgical wounds and all types of accidental injuries. Leukomed is made from cross-elastic, supple polyester non-woven fabric and therefore adapts very well even to highly contoured areas of the body. The extra-soft, absorbent viscose non-woven wound pad is coated with polypropylene. This prevents the dressing from sticking to the wound and enables pain-free dressing changes without impairing wound healing. Leukomed is permeable to air and water vapour, which reduces the risk of skin maceration. The rounded corners prevent the dressing from rolling up unintentionally and ensure secure fixation. Despite its good immediate and long-term adhesive strength, Leukomed can be removed without leaving any residue. Leukomed consists of a polyester non-woven backing coated with polyacrylate adhesive; the wound pad is made of viscose non-woven fabric coated with polypropylene.
