Lastodur® soft long-stretch bandage 8 cm x 7 m, 1 ST

Lastodur® soft long-stretch bandage provides comfortable support and compression for swollen joints and injuries. The permanently elastic long-stretch bandage for durable compression dressings.

The long-stretch compression bandages are tightly woven. They feature an end-fixation. The bandages themselves are made from various natural and synthetic materials in different proportions and are brown in colour. They do not have a cohesive coating. These active-ingredient-free and non-sterile products are available in various widths and lengths. Lastodur ‘straff/strong’ and ‘weich/soft’ are permanently elastic long-stretch bandages.

Properties

• Lastodur soft: for lighter compression.
• Elasticity: approx. 160%
• Washable up to 15 times: Wash the bandages on a standard wash cycle at 60 °C and lay them flat to dry. The bandages must not be bleached, tumble-dried or dry-cleaned.
  

Intended use and indications

The compression bandages are non-sterile medical devices intended for use on intact human skin (from a minimum age of 6 months) by healthcare professionals in clinical and home settings. The compression bandages can be used in compression therapy (decongestive phase) for the treatment of the following conditions (ankle-brachial pressure index (ABPI) 0.9–1.3):

• varicose veins (e.g. varicose veins during pregnancy, as an adjunct to invasive varicose vein treatment)
• chronic venous insufficiency (CVI) with or without venous leg ulcers (UCV) (e.g. CVI classified as C3–C6 according to the CEAP classification, primary and secondary prevention of venous leg ulcers, venous insufficiency and angiodysplasia)
• Thrombosis/thrombophlebitis (e.g. thrombophlebitis and treatment following resolution of thrombophlebitis, deep vein thrombosis of the legs and arms, treatment following deep vein thrombosis, post-thrombotic syndrome, thrombosis prophylaxis)
• Chronic oedema of other aetiologies (e.g. oedema during pregnancy, post-traumatic oedema, endocrine oedema, lipoedema, stasis due to lack of movement (arthrogenic stasis syndrome, paresis), drug-induced oedema [e.g. caused by calcium channel blockers, isosorbide dinitrate, lithium ointment, sex hormones, etc.])
• Lymphoedema

The products are also suitable for use as:

• Support or pressure-relieving dressings for injuries to the musculoskeletal system
• Support and pressure-relieving dressings following limb amputation
• Support bandages for sprains, bruises, tendon injuries and dislocations (joints)

The compression bandages can also be used in combination with primary and secondary dressings. Lastodur ‘straff/strong’ and ‘weich/soft’ are reusable medical devices.
