Lactobact INTIMA - 3-fold combination for the intimate and bladder area
The quality probiotic Lactobact INTIMA supports the maintenance of an intact bladder mucosa thanks to its triple combination. The combination of cranberry, D-mannose and two microencapsulated, biologically active bacterial cultures supports the mucous membranes in the intimate and bladder area.
- Cranberry: Contains secondary plant substances (e.g. proanthocyanidins) and is successfully used in traditional herbal medicine for urinary tract and bladder infections.
- D-Mannose: Can bind bad bacteria and excrete them via the urine. It is a simple sugar that is not metabolised by the body and therefore does not provide any additional calories. Therefore also suitable for diabetics.
- Lactobacillus plantarum: Positive effect on the intestinal mucosa and the immune system. The microbiome and mucous membranes are supported. The physiological pH value in the intimate area is promoted in a natural way through the production of lactic acid.
- Lactobacillus paracasei: Special defence against the pathogenic germ Staphyloccocus aureus. Has positive effects on the intestinal mucosa and has an anti-inflammatory effect. The microbiome and mucous membranes are also supported. The physiological pH value in the intimate area is naturally promoted by the production of lactic acid.
How does Lactobact INTIMA work?
Lactobact INTIMA contains a selected combination of health-promoting ingredients. The vaginal mucosa is colonised by lactobacilli, which ensure a healthy environment and maintain the balance of the vaginal flora. This includes regulating the pH value by secreting lactic acid, which forms a protective barrier due to the acidic pH value. With an altered pH value in the alkaline range, unwanted microorganisms can grow better and the risk of infections increases. In addition, the protective lactobacilli produce H2O2 (hydrogen peroxide), which also inhibits the growth of pathogenic germs. They also displace pathogens by occupying the habitats of the vaginal, bladder and intestinal mucosa. Cranberry is also used as a traditional phytotherapeutic agent for urinary tract infections. It is a complex mixture of synergistic substances and contains a large number of secondary plant substances, such as polyphenol oligomers and proanthocyanidins. It also contains the sugar D-mannose. It can bind pathogenic bacteria, such as E. coli, which are often the cause of bladder infections. D-mannose is excreted unmetabolised in the urine and can thus remove the bound bacteria from the bladder.
