Instructions for use

1. Insert a finger as far as possible into the oximeter and then release the clamp.
2. Press the ON button to start the measurement.
3. Read the result from the display after a few seconds.
4. To clean the device, switch off the power and remove the batteries. Wipe the exterior of the device with a dry, soft cloth that you have first moistened with a small amount of medical alcohol (75%).

The following factors may cause the device to malfunction: Direct sunlight on the sensor area. High-frequency electrosurgical units. Placement near a blood pressure cuff, an arterial catheter or an intravascular line. Hypotension, severe vasoconstriction, severe anaemia or hypothermia. Nail varnish or artificial fingernails.

Notes: SpO₂ and pulse rate readings outside the normal range are not always an indication of health problems.
