How to use

Measuring theeartemperature

1. Remove the protective cap from the thermometer before measuring the ear temperature.
2. Press the on/off button to switch the thermometer on.
3. The "Ear" symbol appears on the display.
4. Switch between "Adult" and "Child" mode by pressing the mode button. The symbol is displayed in "Children" mode.
5. Insert the temperature probe into the ear canal. (Children under 1 year: Pull the ear straight back. Children from 1 year to adults: Pull the ear upwards and backwards)
6. Briefly press the measurement button. The measured ear temperature value is immediately displayed on the screen.

Measuring the forehead temperature

1. Place the protective cap on the probe of the thermometer.
2. Press the On/Off button to switch the thermometer on.
3. Press the mode button to switch the thermometer to forehead mode.
4. Press the mode button to switch between "Adult" and "Child" modes.
5. Point the thermometer probe at the centre of the forehead, approximately "1-3 cm" from the skin surface.
6. Press the measurement button for 1 second and then release it. The temperature is immediately shown on the display.
7. If no activity is detected, the thermometer switches off automatically after 10 seconds.

Measuring the object temperature

1. Place the cover on the probe of the thermometer.
2. Press the On/Off button to switch the thermometer on.
3. Press the mode button to switch the thermometer to object mode.
4. Point the thermometer probe at the centre of the object, approximately "1-3 cm (0.39-1.18 inches)" from the object surface.
5. Press the measurement button for 1 second and then release it. The temperature reading is immediately displayed on the screen.
6. If no activity is detected, the thermometer will switch off automatically after 10 seconds.

Storage instructions: The thermometer can be transported using normal means of transport. Avoid strong shocks, impacts or rain during transport. The thermometer must be packed and then stored in a well-ventilated room without corrosive gases.

Instructions for use

What can I do if the thermometer shows different temperatures in the two ears of the same person?

• Some people have different readings in their left and right ears. To record temperature changes, always measure a person's temperature in the same ear. Please note that the ear and forehead thermometer must have been in the room in which the measurement is being taken for at least 30 minutes before use.

In which situations is it not recommended to use the thermometer?

• The measurement must not be taken in an ear that is affected by inflammatory diseases (e.g. pus or secretions), after possible ear injuries (e.g. eardrum damage) or during the healing phase after surgery. In all these cases, please consult your doctor.
