The gold-plated tips improve the gripping surface, making it much easier to grasp very fine hairs.
Every pair of tweezers must close tightly at the tips. When you squeeze the tweezers together and hold them up to the light, no gap should be visible between the tips. Only then can they pluck even the finest hairs. To ensure this, each pair of tweezers is held under light pressure against a precisely flat, coated steel disc. The inner edges of the tips are ground flat, ensuring they close precisely. To maintain spring tension, tweezers have a so-called ‘intermediate section’ on the arms, where the weld point is slightly raised.
