Why green tea patches?
Green tea plays an important role in Asia because of its many positive properties for the health of the population. The tea plant has been cultivated in China for several thousand years. In 780 AD, Buddhist monks brought green tea from China to Japan. In the province of Shizuoka, the Japanese green tea Gyokuro ("noble dewdrop") has been cultivated and harvested on organic farms for many generations. This best, highest quality and most expensive Japanese green tea is harvested in spring. The first buds are used, which are only allowed to grow for 20 days under reed covers. According to current research, the plant substance epigallocatechin gallate, or EGCG for short, is said to have a cell-protecting, immune-boosting and metabolism-optimising function, thus confirming the traditional use of green tea to support the body as an important plant for general health.
For centuries, herbs have been applied as compresses to the reflex zones of the feet in Japan and have been one of the most effective forms of application in traditional Japanese medicine ever since. Green tea is used in herbal medicine to support the treatment of Obesity, diabetes, inflammation, Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease and cardiovascular diseases. (Successful studies have been carried out with green tea for these diseases, although the effect has not yet been clearly confirmed scientifically).
