Ipakitine® powder is a feed supplement for dogs and cats designed to support kidney function when there is a specific need.
Ipakitine works in the gastrointestinal tract, where it influences the phosphate-calcium balance. The calcium carbonate binds the phosphate in the food, thereby preventing it from being processed by the kidneys. A lower intake of phosphorus reduces the risk of kidney problems. Chitosan absorbs uraemic toxins, such as creatinine, urea, indoxyl sulphate and phosphate, in the gastrointestinal tract, thereby reducing the strain on the kidneys. Ipakitine is very palatable and is generally well accepted.
Ipakitine® can be administered:
- at the first signs of chronic kidney problems;
- at all stages of chronic kidney problems; in combination with a renal diet; in combination with other treatment measures.

Directions for use
Mix 1 g (1 spoonful) per 5 kg of body weight into the food twice daily.
Pack size / Duration 1 month’s supply for:
- IPAKITINE® 60g / 5 kg body weight
- IPAKITINE® 180g / 15 kg body weight
- IPAKITINE® 300g / 25 kg body weight
Tip: Water should be available at all times.
