Hydrocoll® concave hydrocolloid wound dressing sterile, 8 x 12 cm, 10 ST

Hydrocoll® concave is a sterile hydrocolloid wound dressing for the treatment of lightly to moderately exuding wounds. It promotes wound healing by maintaining a moist wound environment. The sterile hydrocolloid dressing is concave in shape and ideal for the heel area.

Hydrocoll is a self-adhesive, absorbent hydrocolloid dressing with a water-vapour-permeable yet germ- and water-proof polyurethane film. When it absorbs wound exudate, a gel forms, which maintains a moist environment. The gel remains absorbent until the hydrocolloids are saturated; it promotes granulation and epithelialisation.

For use on the heel and elbow; the specially shaped cut can be moulded into a ‘pocket’ in just a few simple steps, allowing it to be shaped to fit the body. Sterile and individually packaged.

Indications

For moist wound treatment of clinically uninfected wounds with low to moderate exudate, particularly in wounds with a poor tendency to heal and prolonged granulation tissue formation, e.g. in cases of leg ulcers or pressure ulcers, and in second-degree burns. Hydrocoll sacral is used for pressure ulcers in the sacral region, whilst Hydrocoll concave is used on the heel or elbow.
