Hydrocoll® concave hydrocolloid wound dressing sterile, 8 x 12 cm, 10 ST

Hydrocoll® concave is a sterile hydrocolloid wound dressing for the treatment of slightly to moderately exuding wounds. Promotes wound healing by creating a moist wound environment. The sterile hydrocolloid dressing has a concave shape and is ideal for the heel area.

Hydrocoll is a self-adhesive, absorbent hydrocolloid dressing with a polyurethane film that is permeable to water vapour but impermeable to germs and water. When wound exudate is absorbed, a gel is formed which ensures a moist environment. The gel remains absorbent until the hydrocolloids are saturated; promotes granulation and epithelialisation.

For treating the heel and elbow; the special cut can be moulded into a "pocket" in a few simple steps and can therefore be shaped to fit the body. Sterile and individually packaged.

Areas of application

For moist wound treatment of clinically non-infected, weakly to moderately exuding wounds, especially wounds with a poor healing tendency and protracted granulation build-up, e.g. leg ulcers or decubitus ulcers, 2nd degree burns, Hydrocoll sacral is used for decubital ulcerations in the sacral area, Hydrocoll concave on the heel or elbow
