The dressing releases moisture and absorbs a small amount of exudate, ensuring a moist wound environment. The high water content of around 60 % promotes wound healing by stimulating granulation and epithelialisation. HydroTac transparent (comfort) is transparent and enables atraumatic dressing changes. Due to its transparency, wound inspection is possible at any time without removing the dressing. The product is coated with a semi-permeable layer that prevents the penetration of bacteria
Areas of application
- The edgeless dressing can be cut to the desired size. The gel dressing initially has a slight self-adhesive effect, but a suitable secondary dressing (e.g. adhesive strips or bandages) must be used for permanent fixation.
