• With heat-inactivated (tyndallised) Lactobacillus acidophilus. In the Tyndallisation process, living bacteria are gently inactivated by heat treatment of the liquid cultures at 56°C for 30 minutes. This eliminates their ability to multiply.
• In its active form, Lactobacillus acidophilus is a natural inhabitant of the digestive tract and can convert lactose into lactic acid.
